Hanko is the southest town in Finland and is famous as summertown with wonderful beaches, rocky coastline and beautiful villas. I lived there between the ages of 6 and 12 and used to swim on these rocky beaches.

Power Plant Polluting the Aegean Reagion
Yatağan Coal Power Plant is polluting environment since year 1980 and
causes respiratory diseases, lung and other cancers to local people. Environmental activists and
local people have arranged several demonstrations against the plant, without
results. The plant is producing 8% of Turkey's power, mainly for Aegean area.
A second coal power plant is planned to be built near this existing one, next
to a 5000 years old historical site of Lagina.

Kartalkaya is one of the four large skiing resorts in Turkey. A 28 km long mountain road leads to the top of Köroğlu mountain range where Kartalkaya is located, in about 2000mt height.
